“Sordid Lives: the series” is a new comedy that will debut in June 2008 on the LOGO channel. Early reports indicate that this series will take up from where the 2000 Movie comedy ended. The Director and Writer of the original Independent comedy “Del Shores” has returned to be the Director and Writer of this series. VIACOM has ordered up 12 episodes so far of the series to air on their LOGO channel.
Most of the original cast members from the Movie will also appear in the series to include “Ann Walker”, “Beth Grant”, “Bonnie Bedelia”, “Caroline Rhea”, “David Steen”, “Leslie Jordan”, “Olivia Newton-John” and “Rue McClanahan”.
The tagline for the Movie and for this series is “A Black comedy about White trash". This series was first seen as an original play that premiered in Los Angeles on 11 May 1996.
