The Middleman is based on the comic book by Javier Grillo-Marxauch (Medium, The Chronicle), The show follows Wendy Watson when she get recruited by a secret agency, directed by the Middleman. Together they fight mad scientist, evil supervillains, ghosts, ghouls, zombies, and science experiments gone wild.

1x12: The Palindrome Reversal Palindrome recap: At Middleman HQ, the team goes over the theft of a Beryllium sphere and an oscillation overthruster. The criminal has left a pictogram on a mirror at the scene of each crime. The Middleman tries to decipher the pictograms without success and finally says Wendy might as well go on her date with Tyler. At the sublet, Tyler shows up three hours late and gives her a diamond tennis bracelet and admits he kind of loves her. She confesses her love for him as well, but they’re both interrupted by pages from their bosses. The Middleman has an offbeat theory and Wendy convinces him to let her go. 1x11: The Clotharian Contamination Protocol recap: Tyler and Wendy are out on a date and Wendy apologizes because she was the only one in the audience for his show. He admits that he’s been writing more then ever since they got together, and they grab some hot dogs at a street cart. They initially fail to notice two men fighting over a collision in the intersection behind them but Tyler finally goes to check it out and tries to calm them down. 1x10: The Vampiric Puppet Lamentation recap: Wendy and Lacey are preparing for a party but Lacey is too distracted to listen to Wendy’s stories about Tyler on his vacation. Lacey finally admits that she had a sex dream about Pip, their mortal enemy. Wendy is less than thrilled. They go to the party and while looking for Noser, a fortune teller offers to tell Wendy’s fortune. After a few inaccurate predictions, she draws a card with Noser on it and starts chanting in a trance, muttering about Noser being rent limb from limb while saving Wendy. 1x9: The Obsolescent Cryogenic Meltdown recap: Wendy meets with Tyler at a pancake house, who wants to show her a rare zombie arcade game. Impressed, she kisses him and then they go through $18 to win the game. They head back to Wendy’s sublet and go to bed, unaware that Ida is watching them via a hidden camera in the Middlewatch.
