1 :01x01 - Now You See Me, Now You Don't
Anne Slowey, Elle's Fashion Accessories Editor and Joe Zee, Elle's Creative Director, test eleven contestants competing for a position at Elle magazine. Each of the contestants must compete in assistant-centered and editorial-centered challenges, the first being to make breakfast for Anne.
2 :01x02 - Hidden Gems
The contestants must dress mannequins for Anne following specific points. Later, the contestants are placed into two teams to find a "hidden gem" in town and write an article about it for the magazine.
3 :01x03 - No More, Mr. Nice Guy
The contestants are challenged to bring a fashionable mother & daughter to be in attendance for a birthday party they must design for Annie's niece, which will be featured on the trend page.
4 :01x04 - Shop it Like It's Hot
The first challenge for this episode is for the ladies to pick out an outfit for Anne to take on her trip. Next, the girls split up into teams where they will manage a photo shoot from designer Tony Burch, who is also a guest judge. Two contestants are released in a surprise move.
5 :01x05 - It's All About Who You Know
The contestants are challenged to learn as much about the guests at a black tie affair as possible and then must present the information when asked by Anne.
6 :01x06 - Clip Show
The first five episodes are reviewed from this reality series, which features previously unaired footage from the cast that includes fashion don'ts and breakdowns.
7 :01x07 - Model Behavior
This weeks challenge for the contestants is to prepare a hotel exactly to the specifications of supermodel Maggie Rizer. Later they are asked to design a multipage fashion layout, and one player lashes out at Anne and Joe due to the pressure.
8 :01x08 - Fashion Show 101
The contestants are challenged to make a casting call for a fashion photo shoot. Later, they are asked to create a fashion show for an new designer. Zak Posen appears as guest designer.
9 :01x09 - The Right Fit
The season finale finds the remaining contestants developing a magazine cover for singer, Eve. Later, a winner of season 1 is chosen.
