Jodie, played by Jodie Dorday

Jodie is not sure how she ended up a suburban mom after her rock 'n roll youth, but she's a mother of two now - a teenage son and a pre-teen daughter - and she's still adjusting. Her husband is a former rocker with one gold record and is just as resentful of his current situation as father and IT worker. Wishing Brian dead was not unusual for Jodie, but having it become a reality presented problems she could never have imagined. Although her friends are there for her to help her "bury Brian" the strain of covering up his death, the toll on her children, and herself are almost too much to deal with. Jodie goes on a roller-coaster ride of emotion and self-discovery and finally experiences a deeper bond with the people who matter to her most - her family and friends.

Denise, played by Ingrid Park

Denise outwardly appears to be the sweet, happy housewife with four kids under the age of 10 and a small sideline business. She is super organized and keeps the girls on schedule with their monthly girls night out. Unknown to her friends, Denise is actually quite lonely and feels isolated. Helping Jodie with her troubles gives Denise a sense of purpose. As events surrounding Brian's death continue to unfold for Jodie, however, Denise tries to involve Jodie in a dramatic solution to her own problems.

Theresa, played by Carolyn McLaughlin

Theresa is the caregiver of the group and a problem solver. Jodie especially looks to Theresa for support, but that wears thin after a while. Their friendship has often revolved around Jodie screwing up and Theresa bailing her out. In fact, Jodie's problems have driven a wedge between Theresa and her husband Pete. Keeping Brian's death a secret and devoting so much attention to Jodie leads Pete to wrongly assume Theresa is having an affair. Unable to stand the deception any longer, Theresa finally admits to Pete that they buried Brian.

Geri, played by Rebecca Hobbs

Geri is an ambitious business woman who has no desire for a husband or family, she enjoys the unfettered single life. When Jodie's husband Brian is accidentally killed in such a way that looks bad for Jodie, Geri puts her advertising skills to use to create an elaborate diversion campaign. Although she enjoys her relationship with Jodie's daughter, Geri is not the type to coddle anyone. When Jodie shows signs of weakness under the strain of keeping up the charade that she does not know what happened to Brian, Geri sets her straight about what is at stake for all of them.

Pete, played by Craig Hall

Pete is a good cop in a good marriage with a pretty teenage daughter who he watches over like a hawk. Since his partner's murder, however, Pete has felt the strain of trying to put the man responsible in prison by keeping the only witness alive. His wife Theresa's involvement with her friend Jodie's troubles involving her husband Brian only add to his sense of being overwhelmed. Theresa's secrecy and constant disappearances lead him to believe she is having an affair. After the case against the man who killed his partner crumbles and Pete is made the scape goat by his bosses, he reaches his lowest point. When Pete asks if their marriage is over, Theresa makes a startling confession that explains all the secrecy - Brian is dead and she helped bury him.
