When Colin Freshwater, his brother Jace and their friend Tracey pay another visit to the Wooden Kamel, which was once a travel agency run by the mysterious Mr Hellman, it is empty of all the magical things that used to be there. Jace finds something which he doesn't tell Colin about - and when they leave a face peers through the window at them. Who is this person? And who, too, is the mystery man in black leather riding gear who also watches them go?
