"Deal or no Deal" the game show that is a huge success in over 50 countries goes daytime. Beginning 8 September 2008 Howie Mandel will be the host of this new 30-minute long version seen Monday through Friday across North America as a syndicated series.
Some of the changes include only 22 cases instead of 26 cases. Only 2 models instead of 26 the other 20 cases will be held by possible future contestants. The 2 models who are currently working the nighttime version and will also work the daytime version are Patricia Kara (#9), and Tameka Jacobs (#21). There will also be a new prop on the daytime version called the Deal Wheel. The wheel is used to select the next contestant to be on the show based on what number it falls on and whoever holds that case number. There is also no more family and friends to support the contestants to help speed the game along. Lastly the grand prize is not 1 million as the nighttime version but is 500 thousand instead.
