In a strange way I admire Alexis Stewart. She is nothing if not honest. It's a little thrilling to watch the daughter of icy icon, Martha Stewart, proclaim that she loves getting drunk and that she always has sex on the first date. I recently watched an ancient David Letterman segment in which Madonna's brazen hussy persona tangles with the host; Madonna looks positively tame compared to Ms. Stewart. I was horrified, at first, as I watched Alexis and her gal pal make rude comments about Martha's clothing, about her guests, about each other, about everything. It was sort of like the uncomfortable feeling I get--the vicarious embarrassment, really--when I watch Larry David rudely cavort through his life and relationships in "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Soon, however, I began to relish the dishing because these ladies seem to enjoy it so much. I am not going to erase these early episodes. This show may not be around for long and it will be great fun to share these with friends who won't believe this really happened. Read more
