George's Niece - Recap

George's Boston sister Deirdre and her 17 year old daughter Nancy pay a visit for a few days. Hazel's nephew Eddy drops by. Eddy is a champion bowler and a straight A student. He invites Nancy to watch his bowling team that evening. Nancy, a sheltered girl, is delighted to have her first date with a boy. Her mother opposes the idea because Eddy is a member of the working class rather than the upper middle class. The situation becomes tense between mother and daughter. When Deirdre realizes her snobbery is alienating her daughter, she changes her attitude.
