Season one introduced viewers to live-in maid Hazel Burke and her upper middle class employers, George and Dorothy Baxter. Notable guest appearances included tv veteran performers Maudie Prickett, Dub Taylor, Norma Varden, Howard Smith, Lurene Tuttle, Alan Hale, Jr. and Cathy Lewis. Season one was filmed in b/w but included one color episode about George Baxter buying a color tv for Hazel.
