Well, another day, another episode.
Not one of the more exciting ones. We already saw the Green Arrow/Batman rivalry, and Guy Gardner didn't really get a chance to do much.
Nice use of the old 60's TV Batman villains, though. |

I liked the look of the "Dark Knight" ...it kinda reminded me of Alex Ross' armoured Batman from the recent "Justice" maxi series.
Once again though I found myself enjoying the opening bit with the Green Lanterns more than the actual story itself...maybe I'm still warming up to it...

I didn't think either segment was that good. The opening segment seemed a bit out there, even for B&B: why do the Green Lanterns need Batman to help them again? Guy Gardner was simplistic even compared to his earliest comic book incarnation, and the guest bad guy was lame. But yet he can somehow defeat dozens of GLs in a single sound-wave blow?
For the main segment, the Demon was cool, Morgaine was okay. I think we've had enough of Green Arrow: we don't need to see him again for quite a while. There also seemed to be a few many unexplained questions: why is Merlin in prison? How does Green Arrow survive his fall? When did Merlin manage to transform the Demon back to Jason Blood and break Morgaine's control, when last we saw the Demon had muzzled him? They just kind of skipped over a lot of stuff. |
