Description:
A truly great series that's easily stood the test of time through it's chilling stories and helped no end by the two leads who give their roles everything they've got.

Assignment 1
The series kicked off with this great 6 part story, which probably has the easiest plot to follow. In an isolated house two children find that their parents have suddenly vanished, Robert the eldest child calls the police, only to hear a knock at the door only minutes later. Standing at the door are Sapphire & Steel who begin to investigate this strange case where time itself has broken out and taken the parents away.

Assignment 2
In an abandoned train station a lone man waits, watching for ghosts, as strange noises begin to make him nervous he goes to explore and finds Steel waiting for him. A dark force has called Sapphire & Steel to this place, a problem with time and restless spirits needs to be sorted out and only they can fight the forces at work here. More of a traditional ghost story, this 8 part story builds an feeling of dread slowly through the episodes and builds to quite downbeat ending.

Assignment 3
Arriving on the top floor of a block of flats, Sapphire & Steel begin to investigate a strange disturbance in time. Someone has come back from the future to experiment in the present day, this human exploration of time is highly dangerous and could cause all sorts of unforeseen dangers. Trying to gain access to the hidden time experiment S & S begin to realise that the time travellers have brought back with them an evil force that it intent on wiping them all out.
