In September 2005, the NBC
stations with their headquarters at Rockefeller Center in New York, had the gleam of an idea -- what if there was a TV show that could be fun, provide loads of information, give people a chance to win prizes and give them a chance to talk back? The show wouldn't just be for people who stay at home, but for people on the go, using wireless communication and the Internet.
In February of 2006, NBC
, Universal Orlando Resort and General Electric acquired a dynamic women's Web site called iVillage.com and they soon realized that iVillage.com's audience was exactly the same kind of people they wanted for their new show, so a marriage was arranged and "iVillage Live"
But where to locate this exciting entertainment experience? Looking no further than their own back yard, the show's creators thought: why not make the show's location as exciting as what was being broadcast? That is when the NBC
