In the scene with Kat at the 'Live Bait' club, where the Flithy Souls are playing, she mistakes someone for Patrick and is shocked to see it's not him. Then babbling about the person being a butch lesbian, or transgender. In fact the person was a woman, "Butch Lesbian" in the credits to be exact. | Dana Davis (Chastity Church) did not appear in this episode. |

Episode Quotes |

(Walter and Kat attempt to play Scrabble while waiting for Bianca to get home from the game)
Kat: (to Walter as he paces nervously) and that's ten points for theater and please note I used the correct British spelling and not the bastardized American version. Why must we ruin everything?
Walter: ...
Kat: I think I'll get my nipples pierced in protest.
Walter: (laughing as he watches the door)
Kat: Or maybe a sexy back tattoo.
Walter: ...
Kat Dad, I'm dropping out of school to become an adult film star.
Walter That's nice honey. | Walter: (to Bianca) Thank god you're home safe so I can kill you. | (Patrick stops Kat by the door to the cafeteria)
Patrick: I need to show you something.
Kat: Careful that's borderline sexual harassment. | (Cameron tells Bianca he broke into the school computer to get information on the party they wanna go to)
Bianca: Before I do anything I have to get out of being grounded. Which means convincing my father I am trustworthy, dependable and unlikely to have sex. So much harder than stopping terrorists. | (Bianca pretends to be a bible thumper to get out of being grounded)
Kat: ...and the Oscar goes to...Bianca Stratford for lying to her father.
Bianca: Zip it Satan.

Episode Goofs |
| |
At the end of the episode with Kat and Bianca being interrogated by Walter in the kitchen, Bianca almost rats out her sister but backs out at the last second. Prompting Walter to declare that Kat is his good daughter. But this changes when Kat makes the bizarre decision to show her father her fake ID and prove that she's not the good daughter as he had thought. I don't think this is "consistent with the show's internal logic". |

This may not be an intended reference, but the popular CBS series "CSI: Miami" uses a song by The Who as their theme song. The theme song is named "Won't Get Fooled Again", and this episode's title is written the exact same way. |

Analysis |

Drug testing? What Prompted this?
Walter gives his daughter's a steady stream of drug tests even though it's not even suggested that either one have ever done drugs. This seems a bit paranoid and severely over protective but does fall in line with how the character was portrayed in the original 1999 film.
I wonder seriously, and hopefully we will find out, what prompted the beginnings of this activity by Walter. There has got to be some reason for it. Whether it be his reaction to being in a new city and wanting to make sure the new influences aren't corrupting his daughters or if he and the wife concocted these plans before she passed on. Or more likely one of the two (Kat) has done something stupid and reckless back in Ohio and this is the over reaction by Walter. Though none of these scenarios have yet even been suggested. | I Celebrate You!!!
The momentary confrontation at the Live Bait club with the 'Butch Lesbian' again revealed a bit of Kat's outlook on life. After babbling about what the person was (transgender, butch lesbian), she enthusiastically proclaims that "I celebrate you." Very funny moment. And very revealing as we now know that she truly believes in many of the principles of the Liberal movement. Equality (marriage equality also) being one that we can confirm she's on board with.
It's smart, though barely noticeable, character development that may play into, and explain, some of her actions in later episodes. But I also suspect that she would be one of the many people who practically despise ALL career politicians and their disgusting actions. |
