Episode Quotes |

(Sasha talks to the girls out front before the National Championships begin)
Shasha: OK, gather around ladies. You are about to enter a whole different world when you go through those doors. Everyone will want a piece of you. Just stay focused and remember what we came here to do. All right, let's go. | Reporter: Payson, Payson Keeler, you beat Kelly Parker in Boulder. Can you do it again?
Payson: You're right I can. | Mark: (pretending to be a reporter) Over here, Mark Gaslon, Narnia Chronicle. Payson you are so beautiful, as beautiful as Miss Parker here. Many think more beautiful and we just wanna know why you don't have your own make-up line like she does?
Payson: I don't have my own make-up line or wear mini-skirts that show off my belly button because my dad won't let me.
(Payson smiles and run over to hug Mark) | Lauren: (to Emily) Don't look at me and don't talk to me. And don't make me look at that painful luggage set you got at the Dollar Store. | Emily: In case you haven't noticed, you're low on people to talk to, much less room with.
Lauren: I'd have my own room if it weren't for team rules. But no we have to shack up with a roomie.
Emily: Yeah sure, until you lie, cheat or sleep with my boyfriend. | (to the team before the National Championships begin)
Sasha: I want you to forget everything that's come before this moment. Forget everything that is to follow, you are the few that has earned the right to be in this place at this time. You know there was a time in each of your lives when you sought to be inspired. Today you will inspire others. There was a time when you dreamed dreams, today you will live them. So what do you say we get this party started? | Kelly: (to Payson) So I hear your back is hurting.
Payson: And I hear you're the new cover girl for hemmoroid cream. Congrats. | (Payson, Emily, Kaylie and Lauren arrive at the press junket)
Kaylie: I am so not in the mood for this.
Lauren: If I see any of the judges here, I might slit their throats. How can I not win on beam?
Payson: How could Kelly Parker be beating me?
Emily: How long do we have to do this?
Payson: Let's just get this over with so we can get back to focusing so we can get back in the game tommorrow.
(Kelly Parker walks towards the foursome in the courtyard)
Kaylie: Don't let her get to you, Pay.
Payson: Don't let her get to any of us.
Kelly: Nice Jaegar on bars today Payson. But I saw you wince. I mean you could take another shot of cortisone. But it taints the victory, don't you think?
Payson: Excuse me. (walks off)
Kelly: Well, that was easy...
Lauren: Yeah, you're an expert on easy, aren't you?
Kelly: Really? Cause I thought you were. At least according to Kaylie's boyfriend.
Kaylie: Excuse me. (walks off)
Kelly: (to Lauren) Yet he still chose her. OWWWWIE. (Lauren walks off)
Kelly: (grins innocently at Emily) Whoops. | (Sasha gives the girls a pep talk before day two)
Sasha: (to Payson) Remember now, you're close. Just keep your routines clean and stay focused and you'll walk out of here with the gold. OK? (to Lauren) Technically Lauren you're the best you've ever been. But can find some joy in that? Let the judges see it. If you'll just give them permission to love you, they'll find a place for you on that podium. (to Emily) You realize no one expects you to do anything, right?
Emily: Great pep talk.
Sasha: No, it's a wonderful place to be, total freedom. I want you to make this your playground. Think you can do that?
Emily: Yeah.
Sasha: (to Kaylie) More. More strength. More desire. More will. More effort. More you, Kaylie, more you. |

Episode Goofs |

In bizarre and unexplained twist #1, we have the strange non-appearance of Becca Keeler (Mia Rose Frampton) at the Boston National Championships. Despite the fact her father, Mark (who she hasn't gotten to see since he moved home to Minnesota), was there, and her older sister (Payson) was competing on the biggest stage of her life. But the whereabouts of the youngest member of the Keeler clan was neither explained or even referred to. | In bizarre and unexplained twist #2, the even stranger non-appearance of Marty Walsh (Erik Palladino). The former coach at The Rock and the current coach of the Denver Elite squad (Kelly Parker's team) was apparently a no-show at the biggest event in gymnastics. Despite the fact he had under his wing the defending National Champion (Kelly Parker) and one of the most talented teams in the nation. | In a storyline created out of necessity (ESPN is owned by the same company as ABC Family) the producers created a mythical broadcast for corporate partner, ESPN, and let the fact that the National Gymnastics Championships has been broadcast on NBC for years, slip their minds. |

Lauren: Don't look at me and don't talk to me. And don't make look at that painful luggage set you got at the Dollar Store.
The Dollar Store as it's commonly referred to is actually called Dollar General. A national discount chain that doesn't sell luggage to the best of my knowledge. |
