In "HGTV's $250,000 Challenge", five families living in the same neighborhood share a dream: to improve their homes and win $250,000. The families compete in weekly home improvement and design challenges, each based on one of HGTV's most popular shows. A panel of judges including HGTV hosts and designers sends the families who did the best work on to the next challenge and toward the ultimate goal of earning a newly renovated home and a $250,000 cash prize.   $250K LatestRating: 0 likes, 1 dislikes$250K has had me deeply involved in guessing the outcomes. Yes, I love the tips of design, of course, but the competition and pressure have REALLY captured my attention. I was impressed with the initial skills in interior decorating the contestants have... I probably wouldn't make it through the first elimination! I wasn't surprised about the first team getting eliminated, as they had trouble with decision/agreement. But now that it's up to the last 2 teams, it's like "Ehhhh... this is going to get INTENSE!" because the Marquezes' and the Duvernays' both have outstanding talent.
