Erica says she talked to her son "an hour ago" making it 7:30/8am in New York City.
Moments later during Anna's broadcast we see a split shot of New York and L.A. both in daylight with blue sky.
It would be impossible for there to be daylight in L.A. since it's 4:30/5am there when it's 7:30/8am in N.Y.
