The Forsyte Saga (1967)


British soap opera based on the novels by John Galsworthy that cover many years in the lives of a British family in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The series was hugely popular in the UK when it premiered in 1967 and also did well when it aired two years later in the United States leading to the creation of Masterpiece Theatre on PBS. Kenneth More, Eric Porter, and Susan Hampshire were among the stars of the series.

Jon succumbs to Fleur and immediately regrets it. Irene then has a long talk with Fleur and persuades her to back off. She then reconciles with Michael. Soames dies from injuries suffered from a fire in his picture gallery.
