This first episode tells us the conditions under which the protagonists(Lance, Ilana and Octus) make their decision to leave for an unknown planet, which just happens to be Earth, via a tunnel of sorts.
From this point on the inevitable violent first contact ensues followed by the relative acceptance of their covert presence after defeating an enemy pursuer.
