Officer Douglas 'Doug' Penhall, played by Peter DeLuise
Doug is the big, bear like funny guy of Jump Street. It's revealed that his mother had killed herself when he was a child. He held a grudge against her for this. We also find out he was raised by his uncle and has a brother Joey. He almost left the Jump St. program to join the intelligence department. He is joined on the show by his old girlfriend Dorothy, she later leaves him again. Doug married a Salvadoran named Marta but she gets deported and is later listed as missing. After a search for her revealed she had been killed, he returns home with Marta's nephew Clavo to keep him safe. After being nearly fatally shot, Doug decides to leave the police force. |
