Double Dare (1985)


Billy Diamond, a well-heeled cat burglar, is arrested during a job by San Francisco Police Lt. Samantha Warner. She suggests him a deal--work undercover for the police or wind up in jail.
Being a down-to-earth man, he chooses the former, if she agrees on a condition: Diamond wants his former crime partner, Sisko, to work along. Lt Warner springs Sisko off jail, and the pair begins to delve into crime fighting.

1x1: Double Negative recap: Billy Dee Williams plays Billy Diamond, a rich, sophisticated burglar who is forced to use his skills on behalf of the police in order to stay out of prison. His partner, Ken Sisko, played by Ken Wahl, makes an unlikely partner — he dresses shabbily, mumbles in a street accent and displays about as much polish as a pair of work boots.
When we first see Diamond, he's accompanying a young lady to a fancy restaurant. Saying: "I'll be back in 20 minutes", next thing we know he's stealing jewels from a wall safe, unaware that the police are watching on a hidden camera.
Lt. Samantha Warner (Jennifer Warren) greets him like an old buddy as she catches him red-handed, suddenly, she's asking him to find out why four well-known cons have just hit town.
The plot, as it turns out, involves a series of weird tattoos sported by the visiting cons that hold the key to 56 million in hidden loot. As for the tattooed cons, they don't know what the markings are supposed to mean... read more.
