The Tanners were just an average ordinary family until the day something furry came crashing into their garage - a three foot tall, cat-eating alien from the planet Melmac. They nicknamed this creature ALF (Alien Life Form) and adopted them as a member of their family. Of course, living with an alien who gets himself trapped into the most ridiculous schemes is bound to make for some adventure.
