One of Archie's old Army buddies, who is now a wealthy man, arrives from Beverly Hills for a little reunion at Archie's with some of the other guys. But although Eddie looks like a million bucks on the outside, he reveals to Mike that he's a little bankrupt on the inside.

Recap

Eddie Fraiser, a self made millionaire is coming to town and wants to stop in and see his old Army buddy Archie. He invites all his old Army mates to have a reunion right there in his home. During the stay, Eddie calls his long lost son, who refuses to speak with him. Eddie tells his son that he even called up some old friends as an excuse to come to New York, which Mike overhears. The party goes on with Mike being the only one who knows of his true pain...

Episode Notes
This episode is one of the first in history to have a character flush a toilet and it actually be heard on TV.

It is revealed that Archie served in the army.

Cultural References
Michael: Man does not live by bread alone.

This is a hypocritical statement by Michael since this is actually a portion of a biblical verse. The most common continuation is in the Book of Luke with the following, "Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that preceeds out of the mouth of God."

Michael: When I get out of college, I hope to fight business coruption along with Ralph Nader.

Ralph Nader is a popular third party candidate.

Eddie: I got it from Bob Hope from the classics at the springs.

Bob Hope is a famous comedic personality.

Archie: He was famous on TV before Johnny Carson.

Johnny Carson is famous for his role on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.
