Episode Quotes

Archie: Edith, you dingbat, you brought me a cup of milk of magnesia.

Gloria: I warned you I was coming down with something. Why did you have to kiss me?
Michael: I liked you that day.

Maude: You can either come over here to eat or you can live off your own fat. And if you choose the latter, you can probably lay there for months.

Archie: What the hell do you call this?
Maude: My own invention, cream of wheat with cheese. It's not too light but it binds.

Archie: This country was ruined by Franklin Delano Roosevelt!
Maude: You're fat.

Edith: Archie, your whole family was for Roosevelt.
Archie: That was for two terms. We didn't know he was going to hang on to the job like the Pope!

Maude: He was trying to protect the country! The country adored him and he was practically a saint. That man had charisma!
Archie: I don't care if he was sick!

Archie: Let me tell you something about Richard E. Nixon. He knew how to keep his wife at home. Roosevelt could never do that with Eleanor. She was always out and about with the coloreds. She was always saying they were getting the bad end of the stick. She discovered they were in this country because we never knew they was there!
