It has been recently announced that Sydney Penny (Julia Santos) will be leaving All My Children in an upcoming episode. While the residents of Pine Valley are attending Angie and Jesse's wedding, a hostage situation occurs and Penny's character will be critically wounded. The role of Julia will not be recast.
