Ally McBeal is back and this time she's got company, in the shape of Robert Downey Jnr! Remembered as the best season of the shows run. And rightly so. With the arrival of the gorgeous Larry Paul (Robert Downey Jr.), could Ally have FINALLY found her true love? After a turbulent time in the public eye, Downey Jnr finally found his muse in Calista Flockhart. The chemistry between the pair is there for all to see. And his role on the show was met with huge critical, and fan approval. As Ally's new love interest, Larry, Downey is a perfect match for Flockhart, and Larry provides Ally with a clarity of purpose she had lost. In addition, Downey presented Flockhart with some of her finest moments as an actress. With even stronger writing than we've seen on the show before, Downey is not the only element that makes this season so great. However, he certainly did make for a HUGH added bonus. As ever, Ally is joined by her fellow colleagues of "Cage and Fish" - Richard, John, Ling, Nelle, Billy, Georgia, and Elaine. Everyone is here, providing excellent storylines in their own right. However the main charm of this season remains, Ally and Larry. How long can she, and the rest of the gang, continue successfully in their quest for love? Will John Cage ever meet anyone as odd as he is? And will they accept his eccentricities? Will Richard Fish ever find someone, who loves the same shallow things in life as him? Will Ally McBeal ever stop hearing songs in her head? It's all right here!
