A man who was shot and left to die on the open prairie is found by two bounty hunters and brought to the nearest town where he is gradually nursed back to health. The man has no memory whatsoever of his past life so he takes the name Shenandoah which means "land of silence." Shenandoah then begins his search for both his identity and his past.
