Santa Barbara was created by Bridget and Jerome Dobson. The first episode was shown on July 30th 1984 on the NBC network in the United States.
Central families on the series included the Capwells and the Lockridges. The series won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series three years a row in the late 1980's. The series was cancelled by NBC in January 1993.
While it was never a highly ranked soap opera in America the series faired better in Europe. In Italy it was shown on prime time television. The series was also the first American daytime drama serial to be shown on a British national television channel.

Episode Info
BJ and Warren look forward to their marriage. Sophia and CC decide to give their relationship another try. Reese tells Jody that he wont stop until he wins her back. Julia and Mason help Gracie when she goes into labor. Warren and BJ are married. Julia lets Mason know that she is pregnant and they kiss. McCabe manages to stop Andi from ruining the wedding reception. As everybody enjoys the wedding reception the show comes to a close.
