The maker of the Magog Worldship threatens to unleash an army of androids, and Dylan teams up with an old acquaintance to try to put an end to his meddling.
The crew come up against a band of Nietzschean pirates, who have stolen a weapon capable of destroying the minds of its victims. Harper is sent on a dangerous mission to deactivate the device, while Dylan and Beka attempt to take a hostage to use as a bargaining chip.
Ex-crew member Tyr Anasazi returns to astound the crew with startling revelations about the universe and details of the next mission on which they must embark.
