He then begins working on getting his sister and mother to reconcile and learns from Susan that she has felt extremely lonely since their father’s funeral. Pat becomes irritated with Alice’s jealously that Jim has been spending a lot of time at Liz’s house. Elsewhere Granny attempts to assure Jim that in time, the family will get over Will’s death while Jim shares his fears that Janet is trying to avoid the family. At work, Janet admits to Ken that she has been staying away from her family, even after the death of Will.
