Episode Notes

The song played at the end of the programme is "That's Living Alright" by Joe Fagin — it reached No. 3 in the U.K. Top 40 in January 1984.

During filming this episode, the production team hired a coach load of prostitutes from Hamburg's red lite district for the brothel scene. When they arrived, the crew discovered that most of these were actually transvestites.

First appearances of Dennis, Oz, Neville, Wayne, Bomber and Barry. Herr Grumwald also makes his first appearance.

During filming the production crew hired a coach load of British squaddies from a nearby camp. The beer they were drinking was real and led to drunken chaos and the gun toting German police ended up getting involved.
