Deciding to become their favorite comic icons, the three kids decide to become Beetleborgs as their way of accepting Flabber's token of appreciation. Flabber's early attempts are unsuccessful, even giving all of them individual powers that seem permanent. He eventually succeeds, but also accidentally releases the Beetleborg comic villains the Magnavores and the leader Vexor into the real world. Drew, Roland, and Jo become the Beetleborgs to battle and repel the Maganvores, but realize the battle has just begun...
