Brian was a carefree California teenager who got the rug pulled out from under him when his parents revealed to him that they were financially distressed. He decided to move in with his grandfather, who lived in Brooklyn, to help his parents save money.

The show ended up being the very first causalty of the 1986-1987 TV season and only lasted for four episodes.
