Another attempt by NBC to revive the Western genre with this 1977 series about a group of pioneers traveling from Illinois to Oregon in the 1840's to begin new lives for themselves. The Oregon Trail starred Rod Taylor, Darleen Carr, and Andrew Stevens. Unfortunately, the series lasted for only 13 episodes before the cancellation axe fell.
