Episode Summary

This is the last block of short cartoons: three shorts from He's Bonkers and one new episode.

Quest for Firewood: The action is set in prehistoric era. Cavecat Bonkers searches for firewood with the assistance of Jitters, the inventor.

Goldijitters and the 3 Bobcats: In this spoof of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, three bobcats burst into Jitters' house, eat up his (her?) dinner, break the TV set and crush the bed.

Get Me to the Church on Time: Jitters is getting married; Bonkers is his best man. The wedding is in five minutes, the church is at the other end of the town, and the pals do not have a suitable vehicle.

Gobble Gobble Bonkers: Grumbles with his daughter Fawn and Roderick with his servant Tuttle, who have recently come from England, are about to celebrate the first Thanksgiving Day in history. Jitters offers the Pilgrims his best turkey, not realizing that she will be the dinner, not the guest. Bonkers promises his pal to save the bird.

Cultural References

Bonkers: Now, what would Fred and Barney do in a mess like this?

In this scene from "Quest for Firewood" (set in prehistoric times) Bonkers refers to The Flintstones, also set in the dinosaur era.

In the beginning of "Quest for Firewood", Bonkers's spotty clothing makes him look like Marsupilami (whose cartoons were also part of Raw Toonage), except that Mars is yellow, and Bonkers's outfit is green.

Analysis

"GoldiJitters and the 3 Bobcats"
Jitters A. Dog "plays the role of" GoldiJitters in this "show-within-a-show". Bonkers is the narrator and the voice of all three bobcats. The medium-sized bobcat resembles him, however, it is unclear whether Bonkers D. Bobcat was supposed to "play" this role or Kennedy Cartoons just lacked character designers.
