"Branded" Summary |
| |
Cavalry officer Jason McCord graduated from West Point and rose through the ranks of the U.S. Army. However, at the Battle of Bitter Creek, McCord was the only survivor of a vicious Native American attack, in which soldiers were lost by the mistake of his commanding officer who cracked up and went insane during the battle. Rather then discredit the man, McCord took the blame and was discharged from the Army and branded a coward. Now McCord travels the West attempting to redeem himself and restore honor to his name. Later he is contacted by President Ulysses S. Grant, who employs him in undercover operations for the government. Chuck Connors starred in the series as Jason McCord.
All but one man died
There at Bitter Creek
And they say he ran away.
Branded, marked with a coward's shame,
What do you do when you're branded,
Will you fight for your name?
