The guys start their first day at Lafayette High School where Alan teams with a girl who has a reputation for his science partner. Aunt Miriam begins a new career as a real estate agent and Sophie wants the Monahan's to be her first customers.

Sophie's cousin Jacob immigrates to America to the delight of everyone but it's the secrets of his past that she wants kept from Alan and Nathaniel.

Katie is planning a baby shower for her sister Colleen but Mr. Monahan wants nothing to do with it, that is until Jacob teaches him the importance of family.

George's second job as an encyclopedia salesman proves to be lucrative but the terms hidden in the contracts weighs on his conscience.

After Sophie breaks a window at Sid's store , Nattie's birthday party may be in jeopardy. Although admitting to breaking the window she refuses to use Sid's uncle to fix it because of a much higher estimate.
