"C.O.P.S." Summary |
| |
Fighting Crime, In A Future Time.
In the year 2020, we find former FBI special agent Baldwin P. Vess working to eradicate organized crime in Empire City with the help of his C.O.P.S. (Central Organization of Police Specialists) crimefighting force, each member a master of a special skill and dedicated to the cause of justice. They battle the Big Boss and his thugs, who are reminiscent of Prohibition-era gangsters.
The square-jawed, tough-talking cartoon C.O.P.S. aired every weekday afternoon during the 1988-1989 television seasons. With its dead-on action and humor, it became an instant hit with kids and parents, launching a popular line of action figures, vehicles and gadgets as well as inspiring its own comic book. The show was later renamed as "Cyber C.O.P.S" and rebroadcast on CBS from March 27, 1993 to September 4, 1993. It was then sold and rebroadcast on USA: from January 2, 1995 to March 29, 1995.
