The Case Of The Baffling Bugman - Recap

The case starts with Bulletproof talking about the case which even baffled Big Boss’s goons. The episode starts with Nightshade trying to rob a vault of jewels for Big Boss. To her surprise, however, she sees that the vault is already empty. There is a card left in the vault which only furthers the mystery.

Big Boss isn’t happy. Then at Big Boss Headquarters, a mysterious figure, claims credit for the crime. His name is the Bugman and he uses bugs to commit crimes. Big Boss is puzzled by this person but offers to recruit him and his bugs for his own heists.

The C.O.P.S team investigates the empty vault but find nothing but a bug. Mainframe sees bug tracks with her computer. A wild theory is made that bugs somehow infiltrated the vault. The Bugman commits another heist and has a meeting with Big Boss. Big Boss is rather ungrateful and rude. The Bugman is paid for his services but isn’t happy with his cut. He tells Big Boss that he won’t do anymore heists for him and will go back to what he used to do in entertainment. Big Boss sends McBoomBoom to find where Bugman so he can find the remote that controls his bugs.

Meanwhile Mainframe decides to implement a transmitter into one of the bugs found in the vault. The C.O.P.S team think the bug will lead to the perpetrator of the crime. At the Bugman’s place, he says goodbye to his bugs. McBoomBoom comes in and captures his bugs in a tin can. A crane is seen arriving at Bugman’s place and we see that Bugman's place is about to be demolished. The bug with the transmitter leads the C.O.P.S team to Bugman and he is saved.

The Bugman’s scam is exposed but he offers to take Mainframe and Bowser to Big Boss’s hideout. McBoomBoom and Nightshade are shown using the Bugman’s bugs to commit another heist. At the Waterfront District, the bugs do their job and steal more jewels. Mainframe calls in for backup at C.O.P.S headquarters. Mainframe, Bowser, and Blitz arrive at the hideout but are captured by McBoomBoom and Nightshade via a mechanical cage.

Bugman tells one of his bugs, Gaylord, to cause a diversion. Mainframe and Bowser think the guy is crazy. McBoomBoom and Nightshade are planning their next hit so they don’t see Gaylord letting the other bugs loose. The bugs cause mayhem.

Nightshade and McBoomBoom try to make a run for it but the bugs are too annoying for them to focus on anything. Bulletproof, Hardtop and other C.O.P.S members arrive in the nick of time to arrest Nightshade and McBoomBoom. In the commotion, Bugman tries to take advantage by escaping with the stolen jewels. He is caught in the act and all the criminals are put behind bars. The last shot has Bugman doing bug tricks in his cell and trying to get out of the prison by having one of the bugs steal a guard’s key. Bulletproof has closing comments and closes the case of The Baffling Bugman.
