Fantasy Football League

Fantasy Football League

Originally a radio series, Fantasy Football League was the mastermind of comedians, Frank Skinner and David Baddiel. in 1994, they created the show, a comedy view on their favourite sport football. Regular features included Phoenix From The Flames, where a famous footballing incident would be re-enacted by those orginally involved, and the regular ribbing of Nottingham Forest striker, Jason Lee who was constantly berated on the show for being rubbish. Baddiel and Skinner also appeared in different sketches and had guests on the show each week. It ran from 1994 until 1996. It was later revived for ITV in 1998 for a World Cup 98 Edition and again in 2004 for a Euro 2004 series.

Probably the most memorable guest was boxer Prince Nassem Hamed . When discussing that he had bought the house of the Sheffield Wednesday manager Hamed mentioned that he`d met the manager`s children : Read more
