Spangle checks a news article on Bruce attending a charity dinner, and looks across to the street to where Bruce is emerging with Tatsu at his side. The two figures, dressed in red body suits and blue masks, approach Spangle and remind him of the Council’s policy on unauthorized travel. Spangle runs across the street, narrowly avoiding a car, and runs over to Bruce, calling his name. However, one of his pursuers fires a dart into his neck. Before he passes out, Spangle tells Bruce to tell Ava Kirk that her father is still alive. Bruce sees the two figures briefly before they slip away into the shadows.
