Recap

The episode begins at a political rally being telecast on a news channel. The members of Governor Hammond’s family are then introduced to the crowd. Bud Hammond, who is the former President of the United States, and Governor Hammond’s husband, then enters amongst much fanfare. Governor Elaine Hammond then enters, with the crowd chanting her name. Elaine later in her speech tells the crowd to not be discouraged by her loss at the primaries. Later Elaine tells Bud that the country has always loved him, but it’s her that the country is having mixed feelings about. She tells Bud that she hates campaigning, and that “it’s an Olympic sport, and hypocrisy”. She tells Bud that she hates lying and telling people that things will get better, ..
