The House of Discontent: Eustace can't grow one plant and the moon is tired. So he starts making things in the house come to life. He says if Eustace can't grow a plant by midnight or else they have to leave the house. He traps Eustace and Muriel in the basement and makes it really hot. With the sweat Courage got from Eustace he grows a plant and they don't have to leave.
The Sand Whale Strikes: A sand whale comes to the Bagges' house looking for an accordion he gave to his dad. He eats Muriel and Eustace so Courage goes to Eustace's mom's house. she has the accordion but won't give it back. She wants to capture it but in the end gets eaten and the sand whale gets back the accordion.
