|
The football team all get perfect scores on the history test, and Mr. DeMartino suspects that Kevin stole the answers to the test. While holding the class until someone confesses, Daria jokes about killing Kevin for ruining her perfect record, but later has a dream in which Kevin was killed. In the dream Daria is the main suspect in Kevin's murder, and she, with the help of "Upchuck's Angels", have to prove otherwise.

| Daria's lie that her locker is coated with a substance that will turn the guilty party's hands pink is a reference to an episode of M*A*S*H in which Hawkeye tells the camp that he had a substance that would turn a thief's fingernails blue.

Upchuck's Angels is a parody of Charlie's Angels.
| When Daria and Jane are dressed up at Kevin's funeral, they are dressed as Magnum and Higgins, characters from the television series Magnum, P.I..
| Charade
Several references are made to the movie Charade during Kevin's funeral when Joey, Jeffy, and Jamie check to see if he's really dead: Jeffy using a mirror to check for breathing, Joey sneezing, and Jamie poking Kevin's corpse with a pin.
