Brooklyn public defender Adam investigates a crime scene to help a client charged with gun possession prove his innocence. Aida picks up a domestic violence case in arraignments and attempts to uncover the truth behind the charges in order to get the accused out of jail and reunited with his family. Adam hopes that videotape evidence will be the key to helping a family prove that their loved one - a husband and father who maintains his innocence - should not be indicted for attempted murder.
