Host Matt Blashaw challenges married couple Mike and Kimba Wingard to finish their gigantic basement, and turn it into the perfect space to throw a party. Matt and guest judge, general contractor Tirion Tompkins, will inspect the new basement and estimate its cost. If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Mike and Kimba win the difference in cash!! Mike is a busy professional with a more-than full-time job, Kimba has a family to raise, and they both have little remodeling experience. This Texas duo have big plans for the basement, and the parties they'd like to throw in it by creating five separate spaces in one, but have they taken on more than they can actually finish?

Host Matt Blashaw challenges homeowner Elliott Trumbo, along with his cousin-in-law, Mauricio Godoy, to rescue his wrecked kitchen, and turn it into a modern, functional space. Matt and guest judges, general contractors Steve Smith and Keenan Tompkins, will inspect the new kitchen and estimate it's cost. If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Elliott and Mauricio win the difference in cash!! Elliott is the owner, and the one who has to live with the results, but he has no remodeling experience. Mauricio has done remodeling in the past, and has good renovation skills, but since it's Elliott's kitchen, Mauricio doesn't get the final say in how it turns out. Can these two meet in the middle and rescue Elliott's wrecked kitchen?

Matt and guest judge, general contractor Gregory Butler, will inspect the new space and estimate it's cost. If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Darryl and Sharon win the difference in cash!! Darryl is a dutiful son, grateful to his mom for all the hard work and dedication she showed when raising him and his brother, Justin. She only wanted the best for them growing up, and now Darryl is ready to return the favor by turning her run-down backyard into a relaxing retreat she can enjoy for years to come! Sharon is a hard-working mom who's used to being the boss, and while she appreciates Darryl's hard work, she wants to make sure he stays on task and does things the right way - especially since he hasn't tackled a project this big before. Can Darryl do the right thing and make good on his promise, and can Sharon step back from being the boss long enough to let him?

Matt and general contractor Craig Hoyt will inspect the new space and estimate it's cost. If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Jason and Erica win the difference in cash! Jason and Erica's kitchen is an '80s nightmare, and is badly in need of an update. It's cut off from the other rooms of the house, and doesn't function well for the family or guests. Jason's done some remodeling in the past, and is confident he can tackle the job, but he is often quick to make decisions just to get the job done. Erica takes a little more time to think things through, but doesn't really have an affinity for dust, dirt, and power tools. Can they meet in the middle and make this '80s mess a modern marvel?

Matt and guest judge, general contractor Scott Hitchins, will inspect the new space and estimate it's cost. If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Ross and Tracy win the difference in cash! Their master bathroom has definitely seen its better days, and is in desperate need for a makeover. Ross is a self-proclaimed Mr. Fix-it, and thinks he can tackle any renovation project; after all, he's already renovated two bathrooms in their prior homes. But their house was built in the '50s, and he's not sure what he might find when he starts breaking down walls. Besides that, Tracy is pregnant with their second child, and can't really lend a hand. Can this Mr. Fix-it finish the job, and give Tracy the bathroom of her dreams before their new addition arrives?

If their estimate is more than what was actually spent, Holly and Chris win the difference in cash!! Holly and Chris use their garage as a catch-all, and it really shows. Their garage is a cluttered mess, host to a ton of unfinished projects, motorcycles, and a laundry room! It's not the most likely place to be creative, and since they're both artists, they need a studio to work from. But they're both also very stubborn, and their opinions tend to interfere when they work together. Can they set aside their differences and create a functional studio and laundry room that will inspire both of their creativity?

Rizal and Mahana's yard is 7000 square feet, but it's divided in two by a huge row of hedges. They haven't put any time or money into making the space functional, so it's sat neglected for five years. Now, they're ready to tackle the job, but haven't ever landscaped a yard before. Also, Rizal and Mahana own their own business, and work together all the time already. Will working together 24/7 to complete the renovation be too much to bear?

When the project is finished, Matt, along with professional contractor and guest expert, David Zach, will judge the quality of the finished work and try to determine how much the Lynches spent on their attic renovation. If Tom and Lara are able to do it for less than the experts' price, they win the difference in cash. Tom works in law enforcement, and Lara is a lawyer, so these two are used to following the rules, but they haven't really worked together on projects before. Tom has completed several past renovations, and Lara has an eye for finish details, but this is the biggest project they've tackled together. Can this legal pair overcome all the objections and render a professional grade attic as their verdict?

Coco has done some light design work around the house, but nothing like a kitchen remodel - and Coco is meticulous about details, and having things a certain way. Do they have enough know-how to make due, especially when they encounter ancient wiring, mold, and a home invasion?

Vicki knows what she wants, and she's waited a long time for it, and Tim thinks he can deliver.
