26 :03x03 - Big Losses, Bigger Gains

If there’s one thing the boys of Freedom Farms know, besides how to farm, it’s how to stay fit – thanks in large part to the farm fresh veggies they put out every year. In order to spread their knowledge of eating right and staying healthy, Joe tasks Lisa and Bitty with running a fitness competition to inspire Freedom Farms’ loyal customers to buy local and eat right. The month-long event will kick off at the home market with a weigh-in and initial analysis of the customers’ eating habits. It also involves a healthy cooking class hosted by Lisa herself. Of course, a diet full of Freedom Farms produce will go a long way in keeping these customers on track, but who will win top prize? And can Lisa convince Joe to participate as well as a little added motivation? Meanwhile, Lisa has been asking for a new greenhouse on her property for several years, and she’s finally convinced the boys to give her one. The problem is, with her gardens so fully grown in she doesn’t have much room to put one on her land, so Tim takes matters into his own hands – if she can’t spare the land for the greenhouse, maybe using an existing building will do the trick – her attached garage. While Lisa is helping out with the Weight Loss Challenge, Tim and Dan will take over her property to convert her garage into a temperature-controlled enclosure attached to her house. While the convenience and added growing space will be nice, after she sees the immense amount of work they need to put into it, including ripping the roof off and laying plastic over the existing joists, to laying a new concrete foundation, Lisa may realize she’s in for more than she anticipated.

27 :03x04 - Pete's Carving Calamity

As the approaching winter looms, Joe tries to sell his first batch of Winter CSAs to hungry customers. Inspired by the Dinner with the Kings event, Joe decides to open up the farm to a select few early subscribers to give them the real farm experience, hosted by the one and only Dan King. From picking off the last of the fall produce to prepping and canning their own corn, will these regular folk be able to stomach the work that goes into their meals? Plus, after a lot of persuading from supportive customers, Pete decides to host a wood carving competition. Inviting local wood carvers of all shapes and sizes, Pete will pit his talents against professionals in the field. But despite putting in hours of practice prior to the event, will Pete quickly regret his decision to capitalize on his carvings and end up turning his favorite downtime activity into a stressful nightmare? And out at the progressively slower markets, the boys plan a bartering contest to see who can bring home the biggest score for Lisa’s birthday. While John and Paul put their charm and charisma to the test, Sam will rely on his farm-bred ingenuity to construct the first-ever Freedom Farms’ Pumpkin Catapult.

28 :03x05 - Ponds and Pavilions

29 :03x06 - Buried Treasure

30 :03x07 - Every King for Himself

Dan tries out for a spot on a local radio station, but prank calls from his brothers and hard-to-answer questions from lonely listeners threaten his future on the airwaves.

31 :03x08 - Gimme Shelter! Gimme Shelter! Gimme Shelter!

With farming season over, Tim plans to build and stock a fully functional disaster bunker on the farmhouse property.

32 :03x09 - Odd King Out

It's the beginning of the season and Boss Man Joe King decides to hold a family wide meeting to assess the state of Freedom Farms. New titles and new responsibilities are handed out, but one of the Kings isn't on board with the new plan. It's no secret that Dan has long been the black sheep of the King family and has skirted the edges of leaving the family business, but this year it's becoming a reality. And while her flower garden is dormant, Lisa is spending her winter days at the new Sandwich Shop where Joe has tasked her with getting everything and everyone in shape. But can Joe keep Lisa in line as Mama Bear decides to go behind her son's back to sneak donuts in from the bakery after Joe put a stop to the daily runs.
