Dee Dee [S02, S04], voiced by Kathryn Cressida
Dexter's older sister, Dee-Dee is portrayed in the series as an enigma, at times she is often perceived as stupid, ditzy, and clumsy, meddling with many of Dexter's inventions and causing unexpected results and failures with each of his experiments depending on their nature.
But there is also a distinct depth to Dee-Dee that also demonstrates her "stupidity" can be balanced by rationality, her over excited nature presumbly only coming from her great affection for her brother and interest for his craft. When handling more down to earth subjects, Dee-Dee is the master of her environment, the sociably depraved Dexter finds himself asking for her advise when wanting to learn more on tempering his frustrations or learning about love and nature.
She is a strong defender of animal rights, even if animals would rather have nothing to do with her, as she will tend to smother and almost suffocate them, she is tremendously highly strung, breaking down once when her Teddy Bear Mr. Fuzzums was ejected by Dexter into a garbage heap, and she is constantly pursued by Dexter's nemesis Mandark, whom she initially rejects the advances of with near resentment and even fear at times, but as the series neared it's end, she developed an easier relationship with him, no doubt caused when finding out his true first name was "Susan" |
