| In the second season, Willis and Arnold Jackson are officially adopted by the Drummonds, but not without opposition from a so-called relative (Whitman Mayo).
The second season also featuring guest appearances by the cast of "Hello Larry." Philip was old friends with Larry Adler (McLean Stevenson) who, in the previous season, bought Larry's radio station in Portland.
Mrs. Garrett (Charlotte Rae) left midway in the second season to star in the spinoff series "The Facts of Life."
There were also a number of two-part episodes, including Arnold running away with a girl whose fathers hate each other. | |
