The Eighth Digivice - Recap

DemiDevimon informs Myotismon that the Digidestined defeated Mammothmon and Gesomon, infuriating his master. Myotismon then orders him to find the eighth child. Elsewhere, Tai and Koromon are walking down a street. Koromon says that he hopes Kari got over her cold, and Tai then recalls that Kari remembered Koromon from four years earlier. He then theorizes that Kari may be the eighth child.
At Tai's home, Kari's parents arrive home, and when she goes to talk to them, her cat Miko finds a digivice in the house. The cat takes it and begins playing with it, eventually knocking it off the balcony! Miko goes down to look for it, but another cat finds it, leading to a chase. A little while later, Tai and Koromon arrive home. He then has an emotional reunion with his parents. Elsewhere, Izzy also arrives at his home, and after greeting his mother, he opens his bedroom window to let Tentomon enter. To avoid his parents entering his room and finding Tentomon, Izzy then installs a lock on his door. Tentomon compliments Izzy's parents, causing Izzy to recall overhearing his parents talking about him being adopted.
Miko chases the cat into a delivery truck, but the cat jumps out before the doors are closed, leaving behind the digivice. Back at Tai's house, Tai asks Kari if she remembers anything happening at Highton View Terrace, and she recalls Koromon becoming Greymon and fighting Parrotmon. Koromon then asks if she has a digivice, but she doesn't remember ever seeing one.
The delivery truck passes over a bridge, and a digimon named Raremon is underneath it in the water. Its copy of the eighth child's tag and crest reacts to the digivice, so it speeds off in pursuit, capsizing a ferry along the way. DemiDevimon also detects the digivice and heads off to find the eighth child. Meanwhile, Izzy checks the upgrades to his computer that Gennai gave him, and one is a map that shows an unidentified digimon in the bay. The rest of the gang is asleep, so he and Tentomon decide to face the digimon alone.
Raremon knocks over the delivery truck and breaks the door open, allowing Miko to escape with the digivice. Izzy's own digivice detects the other one, so after Tentomon digivolves into Kabuterimon, Izzy separates to locate the eighth child. A dog scares Miko into dropping the digivice, and both animals run off. Izzy and DemiDevimon get there a few seconds too late, as a crow already found it and flew away with it. After Kabuterimon destroys Raremon, he then saves Izzy from DemiDevimon. After learning of Raremon's defeat, Myotismon decides to take care of the DigiDestined himself.
After arriving back at home, Izzy goes to get a snack for Tentomon. He overhears his parents talking about that he has changed since he got back from camp, causing him to feel bad about worrying his parents. Meanwhile, Tai and Kari are on their balcony. Tai's digivice detects Kari's digivice, so Tai then runs off to track it down.
