Gatomon Comes Calling - Recap

At night, a woman is walking down a street alone. A carriage suddenly pulls up beside her, and Myotismon emerges. He then begins feeding on her! Later, his carriage pulls up beside a body of water, and DemiDevimon asks what the plan is. Myotismon tells him to just keep looking for the eighth child. His carriage then floats in the air and onto a boat, which departs.
The next day, Tai and Agumon search through his room for his old addressbook. Meanwhile, there is a news report about even more digimon attacking parts of the city, and another about young women throughout the city being struck down by anemia. Izzy then arrives with Tentomon, so Tai and Agumon leave with them to meet with the gang in the park. Izzy had them bring their old addressbooks, hoping that the eighth child is in one of them. Joe claims that he can't help them search because of studying, so the gang gives him all of their addressbooks to have him call the kids. Later, as the gang, minus Joe, rides a train, a heavy fog appears in parts of the city, even though there is a heat wave.
As the gang splits up into pairs and searches the city, Kari is in the park, chasing after Miko. She then comes across Gatomon. Because Gatomon looks so strange, Kari asks if she knows Agumon, but Gatomon pretends to be a normal cat and runs off. Thinking that Kari is the eighth child, Gatomon follows her back to her home. Kari sees her and invites her inside.
Elsewhere, Mimi, Palmon, Sora, and Biyomon sit down to take a break. Tired of searching, Mimi suggests going to where a lot of people gather, and when Sora asks where, she points to a large Eiffel-like tower. Once inside, they are happy to be in the cool air. However, when a large digimon wearing a large jacket steps off the elevator, the room begins to get hot. The air conditioner suddenly shuts down, and the digimon's jacket disintegrates in flames as it reveals itself.
Tai, Agumon, Izzy, and Tentomon see that the tower is seemingly bending, so Tai looks at it through his telescope. He then sees Birdramon fighting the digimon. Togemon attacks also, but she is defeated. Kabuterimon soon arrives, with Izzy, Tai, and Agumon on his back. Agumon explains that the digimon is SkullMeramon. SkullMeramon blasts at them but misses, hitting the tower instead. The tower begins to fall, but Kabuterimon holds it up. Agumon then digivolves into Greymon and attacks. However, his fire attacks only make SkullMeramon stronger, so he digivolves into MetalGreymon. He attacks with his Mega Claw, but SkullMeramon grabs it with his chains. However, MetalGreymon then yanks his arm back, sending SkullMeramon through the air. With a Giga Blaster, MetalGreymon then destroys him.
Back at Kari's home, Gatomon sneaks up behind her and prepares to strike, but when Kari happily greets her, Gatomon changes her mind and runs away.
